Direct Debit

Direct Debits can be set up weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Please note that banks require 7 working days to set up a direct debit. To set a direct debit up, you need to visit the office and bring your International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and Bank Identifier Code (BIC).

Electronic Bill Payments

Pay any utility bill from your credit union account as a one off or regular payment. Just bring in your bill and we will set it up for you. Or even better, register for online access and you can do it yourself. Register here

Electronic Payments From Your Credit Union Account

We offer a variety of options to make paying your bills easier, suitable for regular or one-off bills, mortgage payments etc from your credit union account. If you are using your Credit Union account to pay a bill, the details needed are:

Setting up in the Credit Union office or on your secure Credit Union online account 

  • The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and BIC (Bank Identifier Code) provided on your bill.
  • Your customer reference on your bill

Setting up with Utility Provider

  • Your credit union International Bank Account Number (IBAN) unique to your account (appears on your credit union receipt)
  • Tullamore Credit Union’s Bank Identifier Code (BIC): TURUIE21XXX

Express Lodgements

Avoid the queue-use our Express Lodgement Facility just inside the door.  You can check your transactions online (register for online access here) or register to receive a monthly statement in the post by calling 057 93 51780.

Foreign Exchange

We operate a foreign exchange desk in our office for members only. We recommend that you order your required currency at least a week in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note there are no commission fees. Please contact our office for daily rates and bookings. Booking can be made online or by calling the Credit Union office on 057 93 51780

I.D Requirement Between €1000 and €10,000

Tullamore Credit Union Ltd is required by law to get photographic I.D (e.g. passport, drivers licence, student I.D card etc) from any member doing a foreign exchange transaction valued between €1000 and €10,000

I.D Requirement Over €10,000

Tullamore Credit Union Ltd is required by law to get photographic I.D (e.g. passport, drivers licence, student I.D card etc) and current proof of address (e.g. recent utility bill) from any member doing a foreign exchange transaction valued over €10,000.

International Payments (currently Europe only)

If you want to receive money in from an international source, your unique International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and  Tullamore Credit Union’s Bank Identifier Code (BIC) appear on your Credit Union receipt.

If you wish to send money to an international bank within the SEPA zone (i.e. the 27 EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway & Switzerland ), you will need the recipient’s:

  • Account Name
  • International Bank Account Number (IBAN)
  • Bank Identifier Code (BIC)

 Laser Card Facility

Pay your loan using your laser card. Call the office on 057 93 51780 for the requirements.


Online Accounts – register here

Members (over 18’s only) who register online can:

  • View your balance
  • Apply for a loan
  • Print your statement
  • Send us a message

Members who want to manage their accounts themselves can upgrade to

Level 3 “Funds Transfer” and will then be able to:

  • Transfer funds in and out of the credit union
  • Set up and pay your bills
  • Transfer money between Credit Union accounts
  • Pay your Credit Union loan

Members who wish to be upgraded to Level 3 need to call in to the office, read and sign a Terms & Conditions form. Members under 18 years of age and Club Accounts are not permitted to register online.

Payroll Deduction

We accept both part and full payroll deductions. Check with your employer to see if your wages can be paid into your credit union account. Click here for a form to set up a new payroll or amend an existing one.


Statements are posted to all members annually (on the anniversary of your account being opened). They are also available anytime, online or in our offices, at no additional cost. To access your online statement, please register here.
