21 local groups received donations from Tullamore Credit Union’s Community Support Fund 2012. The presentation was held in the offices of Tullamore Credit Union on Tuesday 24th April. The lucky recipients were:

TCU Our World Fund Donation

In April 2012, Credit Union member Hazel Carragher, Clonminch Rd received a donation from the credit union’s Our World fund. This fund assists worthy projects in the Third World.

Hazel is heading to South Africa for the summer with the International Student Volunteers to work on several worthwhile projects including helping children in orphanages and rescue centres, working in medical facilities and community gardens.

We wish Hazel a safe and happy trip. If anyone would like to assist Hazel financially, call us at with the Credit Union office and we will put her in touch with you.

Tidy Tullamore 2012 is on the way

Open to all businesses, residents associations and rural areas in the Tullamore Credit Union common bond area, this competition attracts some serious competition. Judges visit each location 3 times over the summer and issue a report to the entrant after each visit. The launch will take place on Tuesday 24th April at 8pm in the offices of Tullamore Credit Union. Click here to download an entry form. Closing date for entries is Saturday 21st April at 5pm

Gaelscoil Triumphs at CUDA Quiz Final

The 3 winning senior teams in our annual school quiz went on to represent Tullamore Credit Union in the CUDA National Final on Saturday 10th March in The Ardboyne Hotel in Navan. They were Ballinamere, Scoil Mhuire and An Gaelscoil.

The Gaelscoil took first prize and Ballinamere came third overall. We are so proud of all the children who took part and thank the teachers who prepared them so well for the day.

Community Support Fund

The 2012 Community Support Fund is now open – through which local community, cultural, charity and sports groups may apply for funding to assist with worthwhile projects.

Groups or organisations applying for sponsorship must complete our official entry form stating why they should qualify for sponsorship. To qualify for funding in the current year completed application forms, together with any supporting documentation, must be returned to the Credit Unionby 5pm Saturday 03rd March 2012. Applicants must be from within Tullamore Credit Union’s common bond, and must be for projects that benefit their local area.

Tullamore Credit Union will acknowledge all entries received. All applications will be considered and the beneficiaries will be announced at a presentation which will take place in the next few weeks. Click here for an Official Application Form
